"Being Normal is Highly Overated", but if you heard about this CD already the reports
were probably highly underrated. It's a great CD and I recommend it to anyone that likes
Cowboy Poetry!

If you have read Tom's book, "From Cowboy's Office Window", then you know, and probably really
like, his poetry and the way he introduces it. If you've seen Tom perform live then you
know, and probably like, his presentation. If you read his regular column, or read the
material that he forwards us for our Poet's Page, then you'll recognize some of the poems
on this new CD, "Being Normal is Highly Overated". Tom speaks clearly, and gives a good
introduction for each poem, which makes this CD a must have if you like Cowboy Poetry.
It's easy listening that is sometimes quite humorous, and sometimes very serious. The
poems lead you back to Tom's childhood and mischievous ways (not hard to believe if you
know Tom) and carries on through his life up to the present and his connection with God.
If you've heard Jesse Fowler sing before, then you know what a super job he'd do on the
four songs that are on this CD - "Fairy Tale Cowboy" and "Old Cowboy Dreams" are written
by Buddy Gale with music by Jesse and "Soulmates" and "With Me Forever" are both written
by Tom and the music is by Jesse. Jesse's singing is a super
bonus!

"Being Normal is Highly Overated" has 21 tracks in total and is close to an hour of
entertainment. If you want to wait till March 2007, Tom will be a feature performer at the
Kamloops Cowboy Festival and this CD and Tom's book will be for sale at the "General
Store" - I would guess that you wouldn't want to wait that long though, so
